Okanagan Rainbow Coalition - Kelowna Gay Pride 2008

Out in the Okanagan is the theme for the 2008 Okanagan Gay Pride, organized by a group of enthusiastic volunteers.

As part of an ongoing acceptance and integration mentality, we aim to create a successful celebration of the gay and lesbian community open to everyone, regardless of their sexuality. At the same time, we are making sure to organize events and activities that are mostly fun and safe for gays and lesbians.

The summer of 2008 will feature ten days of activities, ranging from a dog show, picnic, bowling, and talent show to a comedy festival, a chorus night and a cruise on the lake. And of course we got a party for everyone: the special Pride dance, a Sunday afternoon party and the smashing Evolution Club Night.

Since we are organization based on volunteers, we'd like to take this opportunity to invite you to join us and help create the best pride celebration to date! Read below for details regarding volunteering.

THE 2008 RAFFLE

Tickets are only $10 and the raffle supports the comedy festival for our 2008 Gay Pride.

Draw to be held on the Gay Pride cruise, July 1st at 9pm. The individual does not have to be present to win, they will be notified by email or phone to pick up their prize at the Vespa dealership.

Note: No one on the ORC board or the pride committee can win this prize, but they can buy them in someone else's name if they choose to do so, to help fund the Pride event. This initiative is a pride committee raffle, and all proceeds are for the pride committee to help fund the Comedy Festival.

There is a total of 600 tickets only, so the winning chances are great.
